 A teenager’s mom who is consulting with me online – complains that whenever she wants to speak to her child – he is busy with the mobile.
He doesn’t listen. He blocks her. He ignores her. This is what she says. I ask her to evaluate on WHAT she is saying and HOW she is saying what she is saying. Is it worth listening to? Would she listen to it if her son were to say the same things? After some thought she says -I do shout sometimes… The next day I am talking to her son and he says - I want to shout back at my Mom when she shouts at me – and because I can’t, I pick up my phone and block out her voice.
