Do you know that screen time can have a negative impact on your child's brain?

Do you know that screen time can have a negative impact on your child's brain?

The IAP (Indian Academy of Pediatrics) has asked for the following guidelines to be followed to keep children safe from the problems of screen over use

In this reel I share 5 important screen time guidelines that you must know.

1. Children below 2 years must have NO screen time
2. Screens should not be used to make children eat quickly
3. Screens should not be used as an easy option to calm a crying child
4. Screens should not be used during surface travel
5. Screens should not be used one hour Before bedtime

So many parents say that their child MAKES them angry

28/4/2023

So many parents say that their child MAKES them angry

By not listening

By not eating

By throwing tantrums

But that is not true at all

Your child CANNOT make you angry

You get angry

Not because your child is not listening

But because NO ONE listens to you and you feel unheard

You get angry

Not because your child does not eat

But because NO ONE appreciates all the work you do

You get angry

Not because your child throws tantrums

But because you feel like you have no control over anything or ANYONE

But when you get angry without thinking - you damage your child’s self-esteem

I am sure you don't want to do that

Switch to MINDFUL PARENTING now

Type YES And I will send you the link to my upcoming workshop for the parents of 0 to 7 year olds.

Separation anxiety can be heart breaking

Separation anxiety can be heart breaking
Both for you
And your baby

You can make it a little easier by playing these 3 games to build OBJECT PERMANENCE in the brain

1. Peek-a-boo
Get your baby's attention
Then hide behind something
And quickly come out
Slowly they will learn that you are there even when they cannot see you

2. Roll in and out
Take a cardboard paper roll.
Show your baby and put it in at one end
Ask them where it went
Then take it out of the other end
Allow your baby to do that too

3. Scarf play
Take an empty tissue paper box
Push a small scarf into the hole in the box  until it cannot be seen
Do it while showing your baby.
Then pull it out with delight
Let your baby do the same.

When you play these games your baby's brain grows and they realize that things continue to exist even when they cannot see them.

Comment and let me know what else you want to teach your child through games.

Do you know why children shout?

They shout because no one listens to them.

And what happens when no one listens to them?

They understand that they are not important.

What happens when they think they are not important?

They develop low self-esteem.

This BIG problem has a simple solution

Start LISTENING to your child

But remember

Hearing is not the same as listening

There are 3 parts to listening

Watch the reel to find out

Much before a child can understand your words

They understand your tone

The language you speak does not matter

The tone you use does

If you are angry - no matter what language you are speaking - your child will know you are angry

If you are excited - no matter what language you are speaking - your child will know you are excited

So - much before we build our children’s brain with WHAT we say

We are building their brains with HOW we speak.

Watch the reel to know HOW to speak to activate your child’s brain.

Today is #voiceday

Type VOICE And begin to use the power of your voice to build your child’s brain Today.
