What is my child’s talent?

How can I discover my child’s talents?

How can I nurture my child’s talents?

These are some of the most common questions that parents ask me at my parenting workshops.

And the answer is this – 

To discover and nurture your child’s talents you need the 3 Es – 

The first E is EDUCATION

The talent may be right there in front of you, but if you are not aware of the different types of intelligence that exist, you may not see them.
Also, if you are unaware of how to use your child’s strengths to develop their talents, you may be disappointed when you find that despite being very talented your child is achieving nothing.

The second E is for ENVIRONMENT

Talents can only emerge when your child has the right home environment. And one of the most important things about the environment is – that it should be distraction free.
When a child has constant access to a mobile or TV they will never display their talents.

The third E is for ENJOY

A talent is a skill that a child is so good at, that it is effortless, and they enjoy doing it.
When a child has no free time to do what they want, you will never see what they enjoy doing and never discover their talents.
