There are so many myths about learning to read.

And the victims of these myths are the little children who are learning how to read.

One of the biggest myths is -

Surround your child with books and they will learn how to read.

This is completely wrong

A child who lives with people who speak English will learn to UNDERSTAND and SPEAK English

But unless we build the part of their brain that they require for reading - they will never learn how to read.

If we believe the myth that children learn how to read when they are surrounded by books - we will never do what is required to build the part of the brain that they require for reading.

And this will result in the child slowly beginning to hate books and reading because books will make them feel small because they cannot read.

Teach your child how to read.
