Is your child using bad language?

Are you worried?

Are you embarrassed?

Do you keep correcting your child?

And is nothing working?

Then this is what you need to do –

1. Expand your child’s vocabulary.

When children do not have enough words to express themselves, they use “bad words” to fill the gaps.

Talk to them more.

2. Do not overreact.

If you give your child attention only when they use bad language, they will use more bad language.

Give lots of positive attention

3. Reduce your child’s frustration.

Ask yourself – “Why does my child explode so often?”. Is your child anxious? Does your child need more freedom and control?

Be relaxed and forgiving.

4. Increase your child’s empathy.

Help your child to understand how other people feel when they hear bad language.

Have conversations about what people are thinking

5. Monitor your child’s media exposure.

Make sure they are not watching shows where bad language is considered cool.

Are you doing all this?

Type WORDS and implement this today.

Share this so that your child’s friend’s parents see this and implement it too, so that your job becomes easier.
