Does your teen / preteen say I HATE YOU?

Does it break your heart when they do?

No don't feel heartbroken

Listen carefully and you will Hear what they are actually trying to say.

1. I want you to understand how I am feeling
I am feeling MISERABLE

2. I want to feel EQUAL to you
What you are doing is making me feel small and Powerless

3. I want to feel CALM
I can only feel calm when I express my anger so I am hitting you with my words instead of my hands

Teens say things they don’t mean
And mean things they don’t say.
