Do you get angry and shout and hit when your child makes a mistake?

Do you know that by doing this – you are missing a golden opportunity to build your child’s brain?

Yes!

Right after a mistake – the brain is eager to make new neural connections and learn and grow so that the mistake does not happen again.

When your child’s brain is in this “eager to learn” state, if you react to their mistake by shouting and hitting – your child will learn to shout and hit.

If you use this “eager to learn” state to teach your child what their mistake was and what they can do next time to avoid this mistake, your child will probably not make the mistake next time.

Wrong parenting techniques get you the wrong results and often create problems that never existed before.
