Are you worried about early puberty?

Then this is what you should know for your daughter

1. The normal age range for onset of puberty is 9 to 13 years.

Begin to prepare your daughter for her first period from the time she turns 8 years old.

2. The age of onset of puberty is determined by the child’s genes, but lifestyle plays an important role too.

Right from the time your child starts eating solids – focus on providing fresh food cooked at home.

3. Preventing obesity is one of the most important things you can do to prevent early puberty.

Avoid giving your child sugary and fatty foods.
Eat a fibre rich diet for good gut health.
Promote an active lifestyle with lots of outdoor time.

4. Chemicals that disrupt endocrine function can cause early puberty.

Avoid cooking and serving food in plastic containers.
Avoid packaged and processed food laden with chemicals.
Try to eat organic food that is pesticide free.
Avoid drinking water from plastic bottles.
