​The 3C Formula to Reduce Tantrums

1. Calm Voice 
When your voice rises, your child’s stress rises because it feels like they are in danger
that causes a tantrum 

2. Consistent Boundaries
If the rule changes depending on your mood, your child keeps testing boundaries 
This means more tantrums 

3. Clear Expectations 
“Behave properly” is unclear.
“Don't touch anything here” is clear. 
When expectations are vague, children keep doing the wrong thing and get scolded
They get frustrated and throw tantrums 

Tantrums are not manipulation.
They are dysregulation.

The 3C formula is a powerful way to bring back regulation
