If your baby doesn’t sleep – try my neuroscience-based 5S formula

S1 - Hold your baby Skin to skin – 
Stop swaddling.
Holding skin to skin calms your baby down

S2 – Sing to your baby – 
Singing calms your brain and when you are calm your baby sleeps better

S3 - Suckle your baby 
Even if there is no milk 
Non-nutritive suckling calms your baby and produces more milk 

S4 - Shift bedtime – closer to sunset
Coincide the bedtime routine with sunset to train your baby’s cicadian rhythm.

S5 - Shared parenting – involve the dad
Your baby feels more secure when both parents are involved
