If you want your child to LISTEN to you
1. 
SLOW DOWN 
If you are always in a hurry your child will try to slow you down by not listening to you
2. 
STOP SHOUTING 
When you shout your child closes their ears to keep out the Loud sound and can't hear what you are saying 
3. 
LISTEN TO THEM
Children listen to those who listen to them 
4. 
PLAY WITH THEM
Children listen to those who play with them
