Financial Influencers are telling everyone that it is better to rent a house than to buy it.
But if you are a PARENT – there are 5 REASONS WHY YOU MUST BUY A HOUSE
Reason 1 –
You may not be able to rent a house NEAR YOUR CHILD’S SCHOOL
Living near your child’s school saves your child’s time and energy when they don’t have to travel long distances.
This means they are able to PLAY, RELAX and STUDY better.
Reason 2 –
You can comfortably have PETS
If your child wants a pet - and you are not getting a pet because you may not find a house where the owner allows to have pets – then you must buy a house.
A pet adds to your child’s life as it REDUCES STRESS, TEACHES EMPATHY and RESPONSIBILITY
Reason 3 –
Every rented house may not have the amenities you need to follow the lifestyle you want to.
Do you believe your child needs PLAY, EXERCISE AND SOCIALIZING?
It may be challenging to find a house where there is a safe space to play, green areas to exercise and enough events to socialize.
Reason 4 –
You may not be able to modify rented houses to suit your child’s needs.
Your child may want a climbing wall to develop their physical skills or a space in the balcony to paint – not being able to modify the space can limit the development of their TALENTS and INTERESTS.
Reason 5 –
Owning your house is an investment
Also - no matter what financial influencers say shifting homes every 11 months (which is what most tenants have to do) is a massive waste of money.
The deposit is wasted, the maintenance amount is wasted, the amount paid in brokerage is wasted, the amount spent packing and shifting is wasted, school bus fees if you don’t find a house near the school are a waste, in case you need to shift your child’s school that is a waste and so on and so forth.
TIME FLIES
Children grow up much faster than you can imagine.
There is no point buying a fabulous house when your children don’t have the above needs any more.
It makes sense to buy a house early if you are a parent.
Have you bought a house yet? Type YES or NO and share your reasons.
Let us stop shaming the people who are buying houses. Let us think hard and make decisions that are best for us.
