3 things that are quietly wiring your child for failure

Too much focus on marks

When performance becomes the goal, the brain shifts into threat mode.
The amygdala takes over, reducing curiosity and long-term learning.
Your child learns to avoid failure, not build competence.

Rewards & punishment

This over-activates the dopamine system.
Your child starts working for external validation instead of developing intrinsic motivation.
Result? No reward = no effort.
So when a child does badly in the exams they give up

Suppressing tantrums with screens

You’re interrupting emotional processing in the prefrontal cortex.
Instead of learning regulation, your child learns escape.
And those emotions don’t go anywhere--
they show up later during learning, performance, and pressure.

You’re not raising a child for today’s report card.
You’re shaping a brain for life.
