My child is very "sensitive".
A lot of parents - especially the parents of boys -say this to me in a very apologetic voice. Being sensitive is not a bad thing. Crying is not a bad thing. Being insensitive is terrible. And not being able to express your emotions can be devastating. Every decision must be made with the head - in consultation with the heart. We must FEEL - before we DECIDE. Do you have a sensitive child? Do you regret it? Do you think it is time to rethink our approach to this character trait? Is it time to view it as a strength instead of a weakness? On popular demand 🙂
